Part soul, part funk, part west-coast psych. This LP is worth every penny (even if you had to fork-out $$$$ for the original issue!). The RC really personify the Chess records sound, especially with a certain Charles Stepney producing many, if not most, of their productions on the label.
No need to try before you buy, just get a copy, fullstop!
100% essential.
