One could say this is a clever release. As far as remix albums go, I've seen collections of 12" mixes throughout the 80s, but this is the first release that I've seen that remixes were created to make an actual album. The title is obvious, the opposite of Broken. Even the cover is the opposite: blue instead of red. As far as the mixes go, they aren't the originals with more synth lines and beats ready for the dance floor. Instead, they are reinterpretations, using elements from Broken and making them into new, breathing songs. Fans of Experimental and Musique Concrete will appreciate this. If you are looking for something straight forward to bop your head to, you may want to consider the later remix albums. This is still one of my favorites. 4/5
