This is to me the best album Nitzer Ebb have ever made and a strong memory of my childhood. My best friends big brother was into Synth so I got in contact with Nitzer Ebb when I was 10 years old. I still remember exactly when and where I bought this LP back in 1987 and the feelings I had. My mother and I had traveled to Stockholm from my small hometown so I went around the whole day just look at the cover which is really stylish. When I a couple of weeks later got to hold the Monday weakly information radio show at my school I played Nizer Ebb as a intro to the show, no student in the school was over 12 years old! My friend and I even entered a local music competition miming to "Let Your Body Learn", needless to say we did not understand English and we did not win ;) Later on I mostly enjoyed the instrumental versions, enjoying the energy and those analog basslines. Then I moved on to techno so for me this really was the start. I never liked the how Nitzer Ebb choose to go musically after the "Belief" album. Love is almost a weak word when it comes for me to describe this album - no other single album have ever influenced me as much as "That Total Age" not even Bruce Springsteen album "Born In The USA" (my first record ever).

This LP is FANTASTIC! True powerful and adrenalinic EBM! Nitzer Ebb were among the best electronics outfits of the late 1980s, and "That Total Age" is sure their masterpiece. This is angry and epic electronic music played with raw punk attitude (in a word, EBM). VNV Nation? Hocico? Yeah, yeah, of course...
