As I listen to this record once again while writing this, I feel the goose bumps on my arms and the hairs on the back off my neck working over time...
Personally I'm into most genre's of dance music, I feel like i've educated myself well over the years from the tender age of 10...
One cd that really tuned me into my soul was back in 1997 with the 'Ministry of sound - Annual III'
Being into the prodigy & my sister's old skool before hand, this was fresh and exciting...
The pete Tong CD came to track 10 and my jaw just dropped! With that constant flow of soul and the saxaphone through out the tune, it is irresistable everytime or more importantly... Anytime!
It reminds me of 'Nightcrawlers - push the feeling on' a lot, especially the short drop. I think thats why it works so much!
Within all the type's of dance music I like there are a handfull of records that are timeless... weather it's Drum 'n' Bass, Trance, House, Prog, Breaks... whatever...
'Nu-Birth - Anytime' comes in that catergory for Garage.. not this uk garage/underground garage rubbish you get nowadays... this is proper garage and at it's best... the way it should have stayed!
We can only hope the 187 lockdown boys continue to produce more clasics that they are more than capable of making...
Nu-Birth - Anytime... Quite simply one of, if not THE BEST garage tune in history...
Cant take my word for it!? LISTEN & LET IT MOVE YOUR SOUL!
