'The Girl With The Sun In Her Head' was recorded using CYRUS (the Greenpeace mobile solar generator) as the only source of electricity and is dedicated to the memory of Sally Harding.
Marketed in France by Barclay and in Germany by Metronome Musik GmbH.
From the opening sounds to the 26 minute epic of 'Out There Somewhere' this album is bloody genius.
There is something indescribably gorgeous about this album. I've tried to de-construct and analyse it for years. But now every time I listen to it I simply lay back, relax and let my mind tingle with joy at the sounds it has to offer.
This album achieves the holy grail of electronic music by simultaneously sounding diverse but united.
Absolute masterpiece, I know at least five people who stopped buying guitar music and changed to electronics after hearing this record.
"Out There Somewhere" -especially the second part- is not only my fave Orbital song, I always list it at no.1 in my all-time top 10. Hearing is believing !
