Who would have thought that two vocal samples from a Beverly Craven ballad could result in such a euphoric hardcore anthem?
If you tuned into the London pirates in 1993, pretty much every other DJ would drop this tune despite the increasing dominance of darkside tracks in the scene.
It's such a simple track that it barely warrants analysis, but all the tried and tested hardcore breakbeat elements fit together perfectly. As a bonus, the other tracks on the EP are also very good.
4 AM is probably the best known tune on Lucky Spin. It samples Beverly Craven's "Promise Me" and puts it over a rough break and some sounds from Edge 1. There's also a nice piano. Pretty simple but effective.
