Good times, anyone else here remember the liquid lounge or DJ Vincent McQueen? Golden Era of French House in my opinion.

My first time on Discogs, and I go to the electronic page and this stunner is on display.....a masterpiece, "Deep Burnt" is one of those songs that at 9-10 minutes deserves its' length.....never has left my side all these years, and when Kerri Chandler played it out last summer only 15 minutes into his set, I just lost it....the reason we love House Music. I love the break in the middle with that dude screeching 'waaaaayaaayeee'....the only 'vocal', awesome.

If by definition "art" is to draw the emotion from others by way of presentation, then Pepe Bradock has left us with his most illustrious piece in "Deep Burnt". This track is just so beautiful in its composition, and lends itself to ANY Dj set, compilation, or a chill out sesh/ dinner party! Very versatile piece of music. Can grab the attention of anyone, whether you are a head or just another captivated listener. In agreeing with a previous review (Manchester) this track is essential and IS one of the best tracks from the House genre over the last decade.

If I could only take one record to remind me in my old age of why I fell in love with dance music, this is the one. I have owned this record a long time and played it to so many different people, so many of whom didn't even like dance music. My mum adores this piece. My Dad, too. All my girlfriends. It's the piece of music other producers sound like in their wet dreams but never will. It's a beautiful masterpiece and I never, ever tire of marveling at it's brilliance.

If someone said to me that they ripped out all emotion they ever had, love, hate, anger, joy, happiness etc and packaged it up sent it off to the pressing plant and got a record made, I would presume that the end product was "Deep Burnt". I listen to this most days and it never gets boring. I can put this on and sit back, chill out and relax or on the contary I could hear this in a club at 4am whilst dripping with sweat and hanging from the walls, and dance like i've never danced before. This is music.

Classic, classic, classic and again some. This never ever leaves my box. It is one of the most original pieces of house music ever. It sounds completely and utterly timeless. The groove locks you in and is totally spellbinding. Play it in a bar, in a lounge or even in a massive club and it rocks because it's so atmospheric. One of the best pieces of house music from the last 10 years without question - definitely in the top 5 from the last 10 years - ESSENTIAL!

Mmmm, Deep Burnt is such a lusciously deep track. Very simple drum pattern, with that hypnotic filtered strings sample, and the cheeky keyboard stabs, it just moves along so sweet. If only life was this uncomplicated!

The distinctive string hook is actually sampled from Freddie Hubbard's 'Little Sunflower' - to great effect...
