Afro Art & Spiritual South makes the Gilles Peterson Worldwide track of the year top 20 for the second time running. In 2003 it was 'Green Gold' and this year, Spiritual South's remix of 'Jazz Room' makes No. 17.

There's a long whining introduction so you know when the bass starts that this is 'the' track you've been waiting to dance to all night. And when it breaks (first and second times) its samba boogie top bossa. I don’t know how this one didn't get into the top 10. When it was available on a white label in March, Peterson made it his No. 1 and said “Its not just Big.. its Massive”. Additional support from the likes of Turntables On The Hudson, “I’m speechless – it’s absolutely amazing”, Fort Know Five, “It’s an absolute belter” and Rainer Truby, “I am amazed! This is pure prime time heaven. Excellent. The build-up is pure drama”.

But don’t forget the original version from 2001 on the b-side which is no longer available; hence the remixed release, smart move Mr. Afro Art.

The official launch party was a low-key do for the fans held at the Vibe Bar, Brick Lane, London E1, 28th May 2004. My No. 1 twelve of the 2004.
