This album has some of the best beats I've ever heard. It's awesome that in an era of bland, unoriginal hip-hop production where nearly everything sounds the same, PUTS could make some of the freshest beats out there and stay true to the old school styles. The funky, jazzy, sample-based rhythms that lay down the foundation for the songs are incredible. It's amazing how flawless the beats sound... with their later releases, PUTS polished their production more and developed a cleaner sound, but to me this album is their best work, despite it being their first. A must-have for anyone who calls themselves a hip-hop fan, and a true representation of how hip-hop should sound.
