BEFORE YOU LEAVE sounds suspiciously like "Woman in Blue" on Pepe Deluxe's debut SUPER SOUND, but it's more a compliment than a complaint. Mex takes a slower take on the track, one that emphasizes the sadness of the vocals, while Ashley Beedle goes for a more disco-oriented vibe, one that emphasizes the finger-snapping quality. Remixes really should express the personality of the remixers, and I think this single does that in spades.
