This is a solid album and full of energy. Seesaw Sway for example is full and powerful and still catchy enough to fit into a pop category. Memory Go is an anthem and has gone over excellent with the crowds like a new classic on his two shows during both tours in 2011 I thought. Musically this album is much heavier than previous albums and parts almost sounds more of if Bauhaus had carried on in a way. "The Prince and the Lady Shade" hits the epic Murphy-esque moments but for the new millennium. There are plenty of very good moments and definitely a welcome into another stage in his career and shows that Murphy should still continue to make music and tour as he gets older. For Peter Murphy fans this is a good sign that this band will continue to play with Murphy for at least another album if not for the next decade. Unfortunately there are not any ballads like "marlene dietrich" or "time has nothing to do with it" or goosebump beauty like "subway" that would make this equal to a "Deep", "cascade", Love hysteria" or "holy smoke". But in its own way this embarks Peter Murphy on a more straight line sound then anything previously. Which I feel is exciting. A definte welcome addition to the solo collection. Fans of Murphy will be happy with this release.
