Man, what a huge hit this was. I didn't know Photek was capable of making a house record. Granted, this was HIS kind of house - progressive, techy, a tad dirty, but uplifting still thanks to Robert's classy vocals. Satoshi was digging deep into his viral progressive mode on his mixes - passable, dut they don't do much for me. Here, Mr. Morales delivers a potent set of rubs. Whether you want a straight dark-garage house treatment with the Happy Mix, or perhaps the more progressive (damn, I've used that word a lot here) style of his dubs and the World Mix that stays the closest to the Original Vibe, he showed that his creative juices are indeed still flowing. For an ideal representative of 21st-century house, this is it.

David Morales’s World Mix is great, a really moody track with a pounding ride cymbal that lends the vocals a sort of desperate undercurrent. His “Happy” and “Facedown” mixes, on the other hand, are bland, and I couldn’t imagine playing them live. The Satoshi Tomiie mix is nice and dark; it appeared on Digweed’s GU Los Angeles. Overall, this release is well worth the cash for the two good mixes.
