I think this album is a shame. First of all, it sounds very repetitive, with childish melodies that we have already heard from the duo and with rhythms that do not add much to the sound that characterised Plaid. Secondly, just having a nice envelope (graphics and videos) does not modify the judgement as to the actual status of the music played. Plaid, and I'm afraid other similar bands and musicians (see Autechre and Squarepusher), do not seem to be able to produce innovative sounds anymore. As a matter of evidence, Warp seems nowadays to be more interested in the form of a musical product than in the quality of the product itself, as it used to be in the past. Here's my invocation, then: more sound and less decorations, please!

yep! great release! saw Plaid live on Sunday in Zurich: it was AMAZING !! strong dynamic melodic! mostly pretty harder played than on the album some dubstep and industrial parts between! during some melodic older hits the club started to fly . . . great atmosphere: WOW!!

It's becoming the favorite Plaid's album of mine. So well crafted. "Missing", "Founded", "At Last" are soo good, just I can't stop playing them. The only bad thing these tracks are too short. They can be at least 4-5 min longer. And definitely, the bonus track add up to the album very well.

The new album really is killer. It gets better with every listen. And, it is filled with secrets and mystery.

I had the honor of interviewing them for Scintilli and writing a special feature. We covered breakdancing, singing robots, gamelan, possessed pianos and the Big Bang of techno's early '90s golden age.

Fantastic release from Plaid, they are just getting better and better and better with the years, I'm in awe. They are in a field of their own, nobody does infectious rhythms, gentle melodies or caustic key changes like them.

This is a perfect release for Warp, being state of the art, while staying true to the labels roots.
