Additional to the comment above... I have the original 12" (blue label) since end of '80 and although it was played approx. 1500 times and I didn't treat it that good during my DJ-days (mea culpa, it sounds a lil' cracky) I would never (ever) think about buying the reissue! The sound of the reissue is terrible (it's a real shame!). They messed up the whole thing and no one at TRAX records seems to be aware of that (!?). Even a complete "mastering-virgin" could do better, unbelievable ... Anyway, those new TRAX guys should use the following commercial phrase for their reissues: "You want it badly, we'll repress it badly"...

I concur with the above. The quality of this pressing is so bad it's best left in the bin no matter what price it has on it. Not many times does a vinyl sound bad, but this is so compressed it sounds like a low bitrate computer file. What's more sad is this is like keeping up with a trax tradition. I gave it the benefit of doubt in the store as the equipment is not always in the best of shape.

Too bad though as the tracks are awesome dirty chicago house.

I have the re-release of this record, and the quality is terrible. It's probably one of the worst mastering jobs I've ever heard. Both sides of this record sound like a tape that's been in someone's car since junior high--totally murky and muted. The problem, however, is that both tracks are great. It makes it doubly sad that no one took the time to re-master this release and make it sound a little cleaner, since this is some deep, sinister, moody, romantic, evocative, just-plain-wonderful classic Chicago house music.
