Junglists don't fear, this album is plenty heavy on the amen breaks... not so often looped as tastefully chopped and edited. Check out 'drum & bass for papa', 'feelings' and 'a subtle blend' for example. Strangely, years later these are still particularly resonant tunes for me from an album of favourites. Also on the EPs, you'll find plenty of even more heavily edited amens in 'military jazz' and 'cheesy (amen mix)' [though I'm not sure about that last one...]
nuff amen presha for ya?

You can't go wrong at all on this album. Every single song has crazy FLAVOUR! the samples are very nostalgic remenesing 70's R&B vibes with dark kung fu errie sounds with Pure luke vibert wackyness. Has the oldschool Drum n bass sound to it which most people would find annoying, however he turns this bitch inside out to be a helluva fun ear ride!. With a listen you notice how much effort and feeling went into this. i've been listening to this cd for 8 years it's just banging top to bottom.

Easily my favorite work by Luke Vibert. His tuff as Plug warps the average concept of drum n bass into a free for all jazzy funk experience. The EP's are all amazing tracks and can be associated with his Wagon Christ work through various samples and breaks. An overal amazing collection of songs and my overall favorite drum n bass album ever.

This album is incredible. This is drum n bass at its best. The tracks with numbers for titles are the best. The best part is, as far as I can tell, Vibert doesn't even need amen breaks throughout this whole album and it's still one of the best ones out there.

Yep - Luke Vibert (a.k.a. Wagon Christ) dishes up the goods nicely here. Think 'easilly accessable Squarepusher' and you're getting there. Every track worth a listen and serves to show those stick in the muds that drum 'n bass can be creative despite the pace. 'DBC' stands out as my favourite track on the album, but it is up against some stiff competition - 99/100.

This is a landmark crazy collection of tracks I always recommend for any friend who gets a hard-on from punchy jazzy drum 'n' bass. Plug layers in gorgeous upright bass, vibes, cheesy but somehow soulful 50's jingle-like string loops... Some on the slower side 155 bpm, nothing faster than 165 if I remember right.

Very listenable, and also performs pretty well at a party... A++ on this album.
