Polar’s debut, 37C AND FALLING, stays true to its name: plenty of icy beats and sounds. It’s plenty dark and chilly right from the opener “Mass Mysterior” and into “One of a Kind.” Interestingly enough, “K Magic” goes into dark funk and there’s some light that glimmers through on “Breaking Thru.” “Air is Statik” returns us to subzero temperatures in style, and the final track, “Optifunk” kicks up the tempo into the temperate zone.
