referencing Suck On This, CD, Album, CAROL CD 1620

Despite being a live record having been recorded in 1989, the recording's quality is extremely good and the musicians are great. Of course it won't be as compressed and polished as studio albums, but unlike with those, if you boost the volume loud enough, you feel like you have Primus there, playing right in front of you, with an unprocessed sound.

You can hear the crowd, but it really isn't a big crowd, the recording is very intimate and the feedback from the crowd as well as the interaction from Primus create a sort of bond with the band that you don't get on their other albums.

If you enjoy Les Claypool and Primus, there is no reason to avoid this excellent album.
