What you have here is a quite stripped-down and sinister drugged down house-music for the deeper, darker and later hours of the night, taking its roots in Murk or Mood II Swing's most hypnotic and smokey moments, but reduced and stripped down way further in an almost 'experi-mental' approach (especially for the times).
Not much happens on here then (super deep bassline, sexual techy tension, beyond-the-grave, devilishly seducing vocal intrusion), but like every genre-defining moment, it is a quite mesmerizing, brain-seizing and somehow warming 'not much'.
For the better and the worse, this tune was pivotal in setting a tone that is still copied and inspiring today's house productions over 10 years after, from big room druggy hazes to more intimate, anxious-yet-deep underground productions.
