Frankfurt is definitely an outstanding, classic, which is, though minimalistic in it´s arrangement, absolutely functional. The track lives from a classic, shortlooped chord-sequence with sounds reminiscent of 80´s series. A funky deep baseline and a constant build up with a simple delay or arpeggio as theme change are the few tools, that make up this masterpiece. Using a perfectly matching array of sounds and reducing it to 100% Quality and fatness, is maybe Prydz´s greatest talent, which becomes instantly obvious after the first two repetitions of the mainloop on this smasher.
Imagine sunrise on a beach with 2000 people raising their hands in ecstasy, and you are, where this record takes me every single time i put it on.

This 12" sums up my entire 2006. First off with Remember, Eric uses a small part (a 1,2 second loop) from the track Judgements and rebuilds the sample only doable from a genius such as Prydz. It's built the same way as his edit of It's The Underground by Brett Johnson, but instead of a synth + drum loop it's a vocal loop instead. Excellence and avant-gardism in it's purest form.
The Frankfurt is Eric's personal favourite of 2006 along with his own remix of 1983 by Paolo Mojo. I cannot disagree. Frankfurt is a track that has all the groove and feeling from a good 80's track, but the bad stuff isn't there (such as the electric guitars etc). The first time I heard it was in his set from Café Mambo in Ibiza, where he toar the place down and Pete Tong fainted of euphoria.
