Recorded during February and March 1983 at various indoor and outdoor locations, using Zuccarelli Holophonics (and "no microphones at all", according to the sleeve notes).
Vocals on "Iron Glove" performed in San Francisco, via telephone.

Licensed to CBS Records by Some Bizzare.
Initial copies included a limited edition 12" with 3 bonus tracks. These tracks were also included on the 1983 cassette release, and were later released as bonus tracks on a CD reissue of Force The Hand Of Chance (with The Mad Organist and Catalan as one track).

Comes with a printed inner sleeve.
