Incredibly amateurish work. Most tracks are simply the artist meddling around with a 303 and some VERY cheap drum samples, with little sense of rhythm or melody. The tracks are generally extremely monotonic, with little or no development throughout. I guess most can be classified as acid techno, though "first experiments with Rebirth" would be a better genre; I've heard loads of tracks like there though most are far better... One decent exception is track 6, "The Merge", which is more experimental (and void of the stereotyped 909-4/4 beat), sounding almost like a soundtrack to some interesting event in a sci-fi movie. This CD is another proof that it is too easy for anyone with a computer to produce sellable electronica... Avatar records lost much respect with me for this, that's for sure.
