Reviews & Discussion

Review by pablodiscobar Mar 21, 2010 (edited 9 months ago)
On the lookout for new sounds from the past, leftfield deejays in the late noughties approached the psychedelic era from a different angle where sound trumps song and dollar bin finds sit comfy next to high prized collector's items. This ethos helps us forget the nasty side of the hippie era and underlines the link between krautrock and post-disco. The overall atmosphere is hard to describe, feels like getting baked by a cloud of smoke released from the dream chimney... This could have easily been an anonymous mp3-file on some website but on top of the musical outing this is also a lavishly designed package featuring a CD, a 7" and a poster. Impressive.
