This is a dark release of atmospheric IDM. Most will compare Quench to the more popular Autechre, and with good reason. However, that does not mean Quench should be overlooked. On the contrary, "Dyn" and "Punctuated" are very strong releases by Quench that are essential for fans of this genre. "O.M. - X.H." is also worth every penny. Four strong cuts of chilling glitch, interlaced with some warm synth pads. "Madkem" is the most haunting piece that demonstrates the perfect use of aural space, combining harsh fuzzy electronic sfx with warm synths, and string-like tones in the distance. Get this wax if you can!
