Quinoline Yellow has produced some of the most consistent electronica / IDM in the last few years comprising of predominantly intricately programmed percussion (the bastard child of Aphex Twin and Richard Devine) and some esoteric Autechre-esque harmonics. Uchel001 is a worthy Quinoline release as any other. Don't mistake this for a CD of left-overs. If this is a taste of more to come from Uchelfa, then I've made my payment via PayPal already!

WHOA! I personally think Luke's latest releases - this & Dol-Goy Assist are his best works! I thought DGA and Bitstream's Domestic Economy 7 were albums of the year! I respect the above opinion but I think thats a bit harsh!
I think his masterey at mixing those ambient-esque pads with glitched up beats has made Quinoline yellow one of the most exciting 'IDM' artists at the moment.

From just the song titles you can tell that these are just less desirables from the Quinoline Yellow vault and far from a true release. From the sound of the production it seems to be leftovers from the LMW Motors and Cyriack Parasol EPs but lack in their respective quality. Worth your purchase for the possible Ebay resale value which is pretty sad but it really seems like Luke Williams is on a bit of a down hill slide from is last album and this sad attempt for fan dollars (or Pounds where ever your from). 3/5 maximum, another seemingly more disappointment release from an artist that knows better.
