Out of Body Experience is an absolute Florida breakbeat classic - no other way to describe it. Pure dancefloor action, full of all the tension and breakdowns that Florida breaks are known for.

On the other hand, Freak To The Beat is total breakbeat hardcore, sounds like it should have come out on some little known imprint in the Uk. Matches side-by-side with tracks like 'Total Xtc' by Krome & Time, 'Right Before' by First Project, and 'Trip To The Moon, Pts. I & II' by Acen.

In my book, one of the best Hallucination releases ever.

One of the few releases that I never get tired of. Both Out-of-Body Experience and Freak To The Beat sound as fresh as a daisy whenever I pull this track out for another listen. Much has been said of Out-of-Body Experience, made famous on Northern Exposure, but for me the real gem here is Freak To the Beat, always a fun filled sound experience. I think I fell in love with Freak To The Beat after capturing someone dancing to it on film in 1994 as dawn broke at an outdoor party. The crowd awoke and the individual I watched dance to this track did things with his feet that impressed me and scared me at the same time.

Out-of-Body Experience is a wonderful re-mix of Tori Amos "Precious Things" which was incredibly sampled here. The track includes the same piano notes and the same melody layered over a breaks foundation, you can even hear Tori's voice in the emotional "Ay-haieee"

The second release on hallucination, a collaberative effort of dave christophere(confucius)& dj monk.Definently a collectors item.Released in 1993, "out of body experience" has become a timeless classic. It has featured of several dj mix cd's,including sasha & john digweed's unforgettable classic "northern exposure" and a "who's who" of techno/electronica compilations. It was later licensed to west coast label Hardkiss with additional mixes added. This particular hallucination pressing is the original at 45rpm, that can be slowed down to a downtempo slow groove at 33 1/3rpm.
