Interesting band that equally mixes ambient phantasmagorias and martial colours on their palette. Radio eichenlaub certainly wants to be mysterious. There’s no members associated, no personal references, not too much clues about their ideas. The cd art is really simple and there’s only a picture of two children playing inside, some of their song titles are in English and the rest in German. The lyrics occasionally found in the music seems to be spoken in English though .
On the musical side they are on the more martial ambient influence, along the lines of Toroidh , Challenge of Honour or Predella Avant not necessarily centred on a specific theme of historical reference though. The way they play with the loops and the use of non standardized samples and marches is definitively their ace. Its very rare and mysterious music, a very conceptual and intriguing album. Prost!
