After a big recommendation from none other than Richard d. James in a recent interview I hadhigh hopes for this EP; however, I found it to be rather unremarkable. Promising for sure, and not bad by any means, just not doing anything new with the common dubbish bleak soundscape/ industrial vibe we've all heard before.

Debut release for this exciting new, London-based label, Blackest Ever Black, and needless to say, the music from this hitherto unknown relflects the label's namesake. Raime's music is addictively gloomy nebulae of steely, post-industrial electronics, Pan Sonic-esque rhythm structure, reflecting the isolated dub of Scorn and early Seefeel. In short, a rather essential purchase.
