This to me is a turning point from '93 darkside into the start of uplifting breakbeat/Jungle. I remember my mate DJ Mental bringing this back from the UK in Dec 1993 and it just blew everyone away. Crowd Control is a lovely mix of Space Opera's "Space 3001" stabs, some strings and tight beats, rinsing down into Awesome 3's "Don't Go" piano break. Two years later this track still sounded fresh and was way ahead of its time. "The Journey Part 1" is one of my alltime favourite tracks, wicked heavy chopped beat programming, topped off with some of the most moving strings/piano combination since M.A.N.I.C's "I'm Comin Hardcore" - cannot fail to get a tired crowd on it's feet at the end of a long night! Just made to play from start to end.
