A surprising good example of where the band would eventually evolve into. The track “Get ready” here is a shorter piece and is an earlier idea of the long marathon mix they world later do for Motown’s off shoot label “Rare Earth”. There are many other nice tunes inside this rare LP, definitely worth exploring for those rare grooves. Recorded in Verve studios with an hint of the Motown fame, this has a unique sound. A new definitive direction for the up and coming group then. For its time frame you have to consider this is where their punch came from.
