There's not a single track on here with anything resembling a vaguely memorable melody or "hook". Globe comes close with an infectious shuffled rhythm, there's also a mildly effective synth riff in the last third of "Seduce Me", but this is otherwise pad-chord and stab-infested, stripped-down minimal "deep techno". It will work in a club, but it ruthlessly sucks anywhere else. Or maybe it's supposed to make you fall alseep? Or maybe it's supposed to "get your production wang on".
I await the endless "not helpful" replies, but despite liking a lot of Delsin material, this does nothing for me and I am honestly stupefied by the ratings and reviews. Where's the next Vince Watson album? Or Quince? Vince and Bram are both more than capable of great production, great rhythms, AND memorable arps, leads, 303s whatever. There is NONE of that on The Dance Paradox except for big kicks and basses. If that's all you need, buy now!
