And by the way- none of this stuff is dated at all- for 1986 this was waaaay ahead of its time and better than a lot of the simplistic crap you can hear today...

This is one of Carl Craig's favourite LP's - no wonder - it's industrial but it's just such a fantastic creation. Listen to the bassline on 'No Devotion'* and try not to dance! The staccato rhythms of 'Attack Ships On Fire' are solid as steel.

*The 12" extended mix of 'No Devotion' is available on the CD - get it!

Although it's really dated now, the inherent funkiness of "38" and "We Shall Cleanse The World" still make regular appearances when I'm picking "music to clean the house to". It's very interesting to see how this band went from the cold programming of this release to the musical melting pot that was Ministry/Revco.
