Almost everything about this record I think is brilliant!
Its really over-the-top vocal is both demonic and hilarious. Its powerful driving rhythm and its adrenalin inducing break will have you shrieking for more. Cookie Dough Dynamo has a special ingredient that not many records have and that is the potential for real audience participation. It talks to you. For me, it is one of those classic records that will stand the test of time, as it is already ahead of it time. It is both relentless and daring as well as being provocative and very very sexy. It is arguably one of Richards finest recordings. The production is magnificent. On the surface, it is not so apparent as to how much depth there is to this track, but it is so intricate. The basic housey-loop is so perfectly disguised, that it is no longer recognisable as such. The programming and details are so subliminal you will be left guessing as to how he did it.
This is certainly NOT a house record, neither can it be classed as techno either, it is much too futurist. With Cookie Dough Dynamo Richard has moved himself into the 21st century and created a real, if not the ultimate, Wet&Hard record. So get it if you see it, it is a definite must have!
