Rick Wilhite is often overlooked in discussions of excellent Detroit house because of his severely limited number of releases. Fortunately for those of us who don't sleep, the man is a monster in the studio. This EP especially contains alot of strange sample based house music that doesn't sound like anything else out there. Malik Pittman dropped "Dreams of Yesterday" at the 3 Chairs party at Fuse:In this year and people went bananas. It's one of those tracks that you have to let play out because of how sweet the changes in the track are. "Drum Patterns and Memories" is slightly more typical sounding Detroit house, but very deep and warm sounding. Overall this is possibly my favorite KDJ release.
