Piercing Music is an edited and re-composed version of a multichannel sound instalation.
The title "Piercing Music" is due to the fact that the original recording of the installation has been used as background music for some S&M / piercing performance ....

This is, in my opinion, Henke's best work to date. Be aware that you can 'use' this cd in several ways. If you listen to it as a background music, you'll only hear dripping water and an ambient drone here and there. Great in this way but there is a much better way to really feel what's going on on piercing music. Just play it in the dark and close your eyes (I often use it to fall asleep or as a meditation). Deep drones of ambient which come in and float away again. This in combination with a kind of 'humid' sound, dripping quiet and at some points louder, but it is always there. I always imagine myself lying in a dark dungeon of an abandoned spaceship somewhere between Uranus and Neptune... This stuff is dope!
