This is not a Reissue. This is a Preversion on the German Market. It came with postcard which you could use to order the origianl cover and the poster ( ref. to SLK 16 640-P)

This is by far the best album from The Rolling Stones. The Hits on it are timeless and full of quality. What makes Let It Bleed and other records from this era so interesting and musically rich is the combination of acoustic and electric guitars. Often you get Keith Richard's play his acoustic guitar while Mick Taylor plays Lead on the electric guitar. Country Honk, Live With Me or You Got The Silver are mainly acoustic sets. There were legions of young men playing acoustic guitar that learned how to play the songs from this record, Sticky Fingers and Exile On Mainstreet. You could impress the other sex and your peers when you were able to play and sing these songs. Today i listend to this pressing of LET IT BLEED once again and was so impressed. The Sound is fantastic. There are a few car horn on COUNTRY HONK and i was actually looking out of the window to see who was that LOL.
The Hits on Let It Bleed are the timeless anthems MIDNIGHT RAMBLER, GIMME SHELTER, the titletrack and the lovely ballad YOU CAN'T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT. But no song on this record is out of place. The beautiful "You Got The Silver, You Got The Gold"fits the mood as good as "Live With Me" as the second Song on the other Side. Honky Tonk Woman, the big Single Hit of the time this record came out appears in a country fashion, that adss a lot to the Ballroom feel the song is dealing with. The Fiddle seems to come straight from western movie . Monkey Man + Country Woman are the least in ya face tunes here, but are also nice. There are a lot of Bands, that would kill for one Song as great as "Gimme Shelter", "The Midnight Rambler" or "Let It Bleed" ( "We All Need Someone To Lean On, So Why Don't You Lean On Me....") sounds familiar, doesnt it ? Bill Wither's Hit "Lean On Me" uses exact the same melody and lyrics . Anyway - Till today The Rolling Stones play these songs from Let It Bleed Live and all these once young guitar players still know the riffs from these gems Jagger & Richards composed 3 and a half decades ago. If you buy only one album by The Rolling Stones make it this one. You won't regret it...
