Another of the great early singles by the Stones, "The Last Time" features the hypnotic and repetitious Richards' guitar hook that mesmerizes to this day. I remember seeing the Stones debut "Satisfaction" on "Shindig", and I found myself disappointed in this new release. Yes, "Satisfaction" became THE Stones' anthem and hook, but I still find "The Last Time" a bit more interesting.
The b-side is early Stones' misogynism; the penned lyrics are dipped in venom. A revealing look at Mick's love/hate relationship with society girls. A solid single.
