Judging by the airing this receives on my local pirate stations there is no doubt as to the 'classic' tag this record is so often lumbered with.
The remixes on this record don't even come close to the warmth and depth of the original. Peven Everett's voice is full of soul and melancholy and wraps itself around the, dare I say funky 2 step beats and that instantly recognisable bassline.

People might put this in the dreadful Garage/ 2 Step brigade but Roy Davis Jnr is a House music producer first and foremost and a very good one at that. Yes he has utilised Garage /2 Step influences from around that period, particularly with the beats but this record goes to another level. This is modern Nu-Soul of the very highest order that is perfect for an end of the night anthem. Soulful downtempo House or whatever you want to call it, just not shitty UK Garage or 2 Step, this is one incredibly soulful piece of Dance music.

This is one of the most memorable garage tunes every made. Created by a house producer, the live garage mix has made an everlasting impact on the UK garage scene. With its smooth vocals and deep bassline it sounds great as a chill out tune or one to get you raving in the clubs. A definite classic.
