Yes he has utilised Garage /2 Step influences from around that period, particularly with the beats but this record goes to another level. This is modern Nu-Soul of the very highest order that is perfect for an end of the night anthem. Soulful downtempo House or whatever you want to call it, just not shitty UK Garage or 2 Step, this is one incredibly soulful piece of Dance music.
