1988 saw the release of a series of highly successful sampladelic dance tracks including Bomb the Bass - "Beat Dis", Coldcut - "Doctorin' The House" and S-Express - "Theme from S-Express". All three of these tracks were produced by DJs hanging out at the Wag club in London.
This is my favourite track of the era, incorporating elements of disco, electronica, acid house and breakbeat. It hasn't dated, and the production still stands up today. The sheer complexity and quality of sounds layered into this track is unrivaled.
Beard stroking aside, this track oozes fun, excitement and sex. One to move the crowd!
