"Hey Music Lover" was the third and final single from the
Original Soundtrack album. Rather than being credited to the artist S'Express or S-Express, the single was credited to S'Xpress. It reached #6 in the UK Singles chart, #26 in the equivalent chart in Germany, and #6 in the U.S. Dance chart. For its U.S. release, the song was inexplicably titled just "Music Lover" (no "Hey"), even though the original title remained on the album. The U.S. editions contain exclusive remixes.
It pretty much confirmed that acid house was MY music. All the kids in my school were listening to the usual pop crap and I just knew this new music was something very, very special.
A modern classic.
