Reviews & Discussion

I really do have to second all that's been said by the other two reviews on here. But I had NO idea it was even known about outside my bedroom! This William Orbit remix really is a cut above the rest. The power and energy in this mix is truly astounding. It will knock your block off. I'm rather partial to the huge swirling reverb effect about 1/3 way through myself but yes, the 303s that follow "Maximum Bass" are truly evil and wonderful in equal measure. Wish I had gotton the chance to play it out myself as an adult (I played it at a school disco once when a pal and me were asked to DJ!) but those days are kinda over for me now. But I still dig it out once every year or two when no-one else is around, crank it up and dance my arse off!

It pretty much confirmed that acid house was MY music. All the kids in my school were listening to the usual pop crap and I just knew this new music was something very, very special.

A modern classic.

This William Orbit mix is definately a stormer. No bones about it. Everything about it is perfect. A true masterclass in how to create the perfect dance [!] record. I still wet myself at the bit where the guy says 'Maximum Bass' & the 303 kicks in. Trippy, funky, & most of all, a lot of fun . . .this mix has so much momentum, it could utterly destroy a club with no effort whatsoever. To say you need this record is an understatement [& you can still pick it up for pennies] . .. . . .

This is in my opinion William Orbit's finest remix....first you take a classic Acid House Top 40 track....which can stand on it's own merits...then William Orbits get's his mitts on and and turns it into an all-time classic which can still fit into a set today.....it's hard to pigeon hole this one ...as it was made before the need to give every classification under the sun ie ..TranceBagProgTechScouse... it was just a good tune to shake yir ass to ..William Orbit Beef's up the original keeps most of the vocal which could bring a smile to anybody's girning face..., stretches the drum breaks to make it more dancefloor and DJ friendly some nice percussion...excellent acid washes....then comes a 3 minute percussion break telling us .."It's a screaming orgasm" and Mr Orbit cut's up this sample and mutates it to make it all his own...it's one i still drop when given the chance to..
