It sounds like it's 1984, but 'Anorak Christmas' is actually the most heartbreaking pop tune of 2006.
This is pure synth pop meets italo disco in heaven, with gorgeous harmonies and this languid, innocent voice that melts you irremediably.
Think the better side of Saint-Etienne meeting the ultra lush Valerie Dore.
I didnt think records that good and that naive were still made these days.
