What we have here is a very good example of easy summer music. This is an album that sounds dreamy from start to finish. And the best part is, it's not a boring dream sensation at all. The melodic lines are catchy and the vocals are extremely well done.
All the tracks are beautiful, there are no bad songs on this one, that's a big plus for this album. It simply succeeds in keeping you interested all the way. And not only if you're a regular edm listener. Play it to your friends who are not into house or edm-you'll see they'll enjoy it. Because it was meant to be enjoyed by anyone.
All in all, it's an album for sunny days, white sands and smiling people having a cocktail by the beach. 5/5

Mellow, inoffensive house. Samantha James' debut, _Rise_, never quite gets a rise out of its listeners, though that's not really the point, I suppose. Instead, this is gentle house, best suited as background music in lounges and hip restaurants. The lyrics are unsurprisingly bland, but Ms. James delivers the vocals earnestly and smoothly. Celso Fonseca makes an appearance on "I Found You," providing some vocals and acoustic guitar, but the result sounds very adult contemporary. It's all very pleasant, but in a musical world with so many flavors, why settle for plain white bread?
