Dear Listeners,
I am writing you this letter to briefly describe to you the concept behind the record you have just purchased "The Last Time - Jaz Movements - Crash".
Song 1 - "The Last Time" contains a actual recording of the very last sale at the famed Record Time in Detroit. The date was March 10th 2011 at about 10pm.
I barely made it there in time. What you won't hear on this record thought are the emotions I saw barrelling from people's faces as we had come to the inevitable that Record Time had run out of time! Ironically one of the records I bout that night summed it up quite well "Taste of Bitter Love" by Gladys Knight.
Song 2 - "Jaz Movements" this song features a jazz drenched bassline that has become a standard within the jazz community. Also, it pays homage to a place all too familiar to the Detroit music scene, Baker's Keyboard Lounge, the oldest jazz club in the world.
Song 3 - "Crash" The intention of this record is not, I repeat, not to vilify or debate the issue of which format is superior, but simply acknowledge tastefully and artistically my preference for Vinyl.
yours truly
Scott Grooves
