referencing Killer 2005, CD, Maxi, 42777-2

An early-90s fave becomes a mid-00s monster. Released to commemorate his first "Greatest Hits" collection, Seal's debut single got the big-name treatment here. Peter's two mixes are kinda interchangable with each swiping some parts of the original to good effect (Part 2 more so than Part 1) - no surprise they were first. My personal faves, though, are Morel's somewhat understated and moody mix and the breakbeat effort by DJ Monk - both use the full vocal, which works well in both styles. Give Jim Albert a little credit for a nice early-evening dub; and don't be shocked if it sounds Tenaglian (he engineered DT's mixes in the '00s). Bonus points for the extra mixes of "Crazy" with Ananda winning the battle over Orange here. I'm rather surprised more of Seal's back catalog hasn't been made over yet. Maybe when the next CD arrives.
