Seelenluf - Manila (Ewan Pearson remix)

All time classic track which would move any dance floor around the world. This has to be one, if not the finest piece of music production Ewan Pearson, has ever remixed.

With the rumbling bassline, amazing vocals and analog / electronic synth this track bounces along, receiving a head nodding appreciation from anyone who listens.

If this track becomes available on vinyl (doubtful) then buy it while you can. Failing that get your hands on a digital version and make it your last track of the night when out Djing.

This track defines 5 out of 5. Quality

What a crazy concept for a record... The vocalist is on a plane which is about to crash and decides to get up and start dancing! All the other passengers decide to follow suit, resulting in the highly infectious chorus line "They all started to dance, without wearing a seatbelt!" Made all the more interesting by the fact that the vocalist Michael Smith is only a teenager! Pick of the mixes for me is Ewan Pearson's, doing his trademark electro-bleepy-house. I thought this release had huge crossover potential but it didn't really get the recognition it deserved.

None of the other tracks on this release do anything for me, but the Manitoba remix was a real surprise, since I am more familiar with his rather idyllitronic releases on Leaf. This remix delivers the dancefloor goods though, with a unlikely combination of nubreaks (which I generally find a bit tedious) and jazz elements.

Very percussive remixes, with a good live feel, and the amazingly confident vocal talents of a 12 year old from Compton, LA!
