The vocals are reduced to two bars of the vocals which doesn't in out context doesn't really reflect the saccharine nature of the original. He pitched them down a bit to make them moodier and worked them really well. The build is driven extra by chopped & effected pieces and when the track breaks down fully you hear the two bars accompanying majestic pads and strings.
