Mark eg,What can you say this mix is water tight well ahead of its time still sounds so fresh,The trance is some what ambient aswell as stomping incorperating a trance fusion,this is one of the best trance cds of ever heard,nothing can match it for its sheer brilliance,the sharkey one is the same old happy hardcore with trancecore mixed in,nothing special there,but it still sounds ok,but my money is on markee boy.Came out on the react label,They have released some great albums comps alike,further more you can play this cd before you go to bed,when you wake up because it is mellow in the chellow.You will not be dissapointed if you buy this.

I found Sharkey's mix very fast and packed with energy.
However I also found the songs would vary between solid and powerful all the way to incredibly cheesy. For instance Hard Like a Criminal is a fun, fast track; whereas Outta Control sounds like the music on a pinball game version of George Orwell's 1984. Actually, that makes Outta Control sound much cooler than it is.

Where Brainstorm really shines is Mark EG's mix. It's like a powerful journey. I've listened to the whole CD countless times, and even been able to use it to help me convert a friend over into the world of trance.

Sharkey's mix is an incredibly solid CD. Tons of really excellent tracks from the golden age of the trancecore/freeform sound. The inclusion of the Robert Wagner track 'Listen Carefull' (incorrectly labelled here and on the CD as 'Eclypse') is a nice touch as well. It's a successful mix on CD because it maintains its energy for the whole duration, with no track allowed to last too long and get boring. There's no special mixing tricks going on, and if you like the Bonkers CDs then you'll love this mix.

Mark EG's mix on the other hand really drags out. His track selection is usually spot on, but here a lot of the tracks are very average big room trance numbers with very simple melodies. Even so, this release is worth the price for the excellent mix from Sharkey.
