referencing The Emperor's New Clothes, 12", ENYX 633

It's too bad "The Emperor's New Clothes" didn't get better reception than it did, especially on the heels of Sinéad's monster cover of the Prince penned "Nothing Compares 2 U." "Emperor", backed with "Grave," both two of her strongest songs to date, showed O'Connor's ability to tackle two completely different styles of music and make both of them work. Unfortunately (in America anyway) it seems like the public was expecting "Nothing Compares 2 U II," which, given Sinéad's eclectic musical styles, is in reality about the last thing she would have released as a follow up.
