This short split 7" release was my first taste for both artists and I was surprised at how much I liked it. Smell & Quim offers a very nice punk/industrial sounding tune while Taint provides the more harsher sounding track.
Smell & Quim start side A with a fairly simple looped drum pattern followed with random guitar plucks and yells here and there. It reminds me a lot of Throbbing Gristle, almost to much, but I like that style anyway. The Taint side is a bit more noisier with scraps and scratches starting off the track. Feedback pitches in and out and then all hell breaks loose. A very loud track indeed.
An interesting point is that my copy comes in transparent red vinyl, but I've heard of other colours. Not sure if this is true or not, but alas, a great buy indeed.
